This is the second one I have purchased. Hung the first one within sight of my kitchen window and it is now my custom to watch a myriad of birds eat while I drink my morning coffee. My blood pressure drops 20 points and I find it most enjoyable. I decided to buy the second one so that I can hang it within sight of my large living room window. It holds plenty of seed, attracts a good viariety of birds, and squirells asolutely hate it. Drawback, if any, would be that it attracts so many birds that the perch plate requires continual cleaning in order not to potentially harm the population wih any fecal related diseases. You will find yourself going through ALOT of seed it works so well. We have hard a particularly hard winter in the North Carolina Smokey Mountains where I have my home and once the local birds found my feeder, they have come in flocks.This feeder is not cheap as far as feeders go but it is top of the line and works as advertised.
